Its Finished So Long, Sienara

Sorry Folks haven't been on this in awhile. Been really wrapped up with school work and covering a lot of Aptos High boys basketball team for the Register Pajaronian. As for our Cabrillo newspaper "The Voice" we finished our sixth and final issue last week and man the progress we have made since the first one is simply incredible. That's what is going to happen once you get some experience under your belt and it showed. As for my usual pages of 8 and 9 I decided to change things up a bit.

I did a feature article on Leah Anthony a volleyball player here at Cabillo. It made most sense because she was Cabrillo's best player and was named Most Valuable Player in the Coast Conference and she was named all-America. I had a great story because she isn't your typical volleyball player. She is only 5'0 tall and for here to get these kind of awards tells how great of athlete she really is. It sounded easy but trying to get her to do an interview was tough but she was surprisingly very shy but I was able to convince her to do it and I got in done in plenty of time.

I alson did a small piece on the rest of her teammates because they deserved some ink I felt after having such a great season. Posting a 24-6 mark and winning conference for the second straight year in undefeated fashion. I'm not the biggest volleyball fan but I always give credit where credit is due.

Tanya did here piece on ultimate frisbee and did a real good job. There were some tweaks that could of been made but hey what can you do. As for the rest of the paper I feel we did a pretty job and honestly I am sad to say that I won't be back next semester to continue being the head sports editor. After 3 1/2 years at Cabrillo its finally time to move on and that's what I'll be doing. I'm gunna miss this class, it had its time and as well as I at Cabrillo but my time is now and now means getting myself ready to become a Fresno State Bulldog.
